To regulate or not to regulate is not an option. Regulation is a key element in everything that gives us life and supports our daily health. What is needed is a public-private partnership that is guided by the data in a continual process of learning and applying the lessons of nature. Nature itself does not sit around the table when solutions are negotiated, natural and scientific realities need to be built into the system so that they can be applied where conditions dictate.
